Give hope to those who need it most!

Our mission is to brighten the lives of elderly residents at underprivileged nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Through the personal delivery of poinsettias, we aspire to bring hope to people who might otherwise receive very little during the holiday season. We are continuing Carrie Maul’s legacy of faith, love, and charity; she founded the organization in December of 2009.

The 2020 holiday season is quickly approaching and while it might look much different this year to many of us, the need to bring joy and happiness to our elderly has never been greater.

Family connections are a major part of the holidays. Most people look forward to visits from friends and family more than anything else during the holidays. We have all seen the news and sadly watched as so many nursing home residents are being denied personal visitation by family and friends, often feeling even more lonely and isolated. For many residents, the holidays are the only time they get visitors. This is just one of the many changes and challenges that people all over the world have faced this year.

Here is a quote from one of our valued partner facilities that express how meaningful our mission is to their residents.

"The Veterans home has had the pleasure of being selected to benefit from Carrie's Cause for the last few years. Our Veterans love to see the volunteers wheeling down their carts full of Christmas cheer! It warms their hearts to know the community is still very interested in them as soldiers and community members! The poinsettias brighten up the whole facility as they deliver them from room to room! The smiles from all can tell you how grateful they are for such a kind and thoughtful way to appreciate them during the holiday season."

P.S. One of our Veterans has kept his poinsettia alive from last year and still has it in his room and is so excited to see if it will bloom again this December!! He LOVED it!!

We still want to help. After many discussions with our care facility partners, we have learned that while we are unable to physically bring volunteers into their facilities, we are still able to provide the poinsettias that their residents have come to treasure. There are several care centers that are working with us to creatively find solutions such as having Zoom or FaceTime calls between our volunteers and residents, in order to bring that personal connection while facility staff members deliver the plants our donors have so generously provided.

We cannot do this alone; we need your help. We want to continue the strong giving tradition that Carrie Maul started in 2009. The best way you can help is with a monetary donation that will allow us to continue to spread joy and love to our elderly who have never needed kindness and connection more than now.

The process is easy. Simply visit CarriesCause.org and look for the “DONATE” button located under the “Get involved” tab at the top. Or, you can make a check out to Carrie’s Cause, 5200 S Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113.

Thank you for giving generously. Thank you for helping Carrier’s Cause continue our mission to deliver love and holiday cheer to the elderly in our community.
